Adversary Pathway & Timeline Analysis

Delay only means something relative to response. GSS builds the timeline that connects the two — the analysis every barrier decision and every staffing decision downstream should trace back to.

OPERATIONAL CONTEXT

Delay only matters relative to response

Pathway analysis identifies every plausible intrusion route from the site boundary to a given target set, accounting for the barriers and detection points an adversary would encounter along it. Timeline analysis then estimates the time required to defeat each obstacle on that route and sums it into a progression curve — how far an adversary gets, and when.

That curve is only useful set against the site's own response time: detection, communication, and response-force arrival and engagement. Where the two lines cross is the critical detection point — the moment by which the response force must be alerted for the protective strategy to hold. Everything else in the protective strategy is sized against that point.

GSS runs this analysis across the full set of pathways a facility presents, not a single assumed route, and re-tests it against variant adversary capability and response posture so the result reflects a range of realistic conditions rather than one convenient case.

METHODOLOGY
01Pathway EnumerationAll plausible intrusion routes identified from the site boundary to each target set.
02Barrier & Task-Time EstimationTime required to defeat each barrier or obstacle along a pathway, grounded in engineering analysis or validated test data.
03Cumulative Timeline ConstructionTask times summed along each pathway to build an adversary progression curve.
04Response Time ComparisonProgression curve compared against measured detection, communication, and response-force arrival time.
05Critical Detection Point IdentificationThe point along each pathway where response force must be alerted for an adequate response.
06Sensitivity & Scenario TestingPathways re-run against variant adversary capability and response posture.
