Regulatory compliance is a floor. A GSS program audit measures a site against that floor and, separately, against a Best-in-Class standard drawn from operating experience across the industry — the gap between the two is often where the most consequential findings live.
Independent, outside review surfaces things a program's own staff are least likely to see, precisely because they operate inside the program every day. The audit combines document and record review with direct field observation and structured personnel interviews at multiple levels, rather than relying on paperwork alone.
The result is a prioritized finding set — ranked by consequence and by effort to close — with support through corrective-action planning and closure verification, so the audit produces action rather than a report that sits on a shelf.
